Get your study plan approved:
Course Director, Enrolment Specialist & SOL Contacts
Now that you’ve accepted your offer into the Swinburne Abroad Overseas Exchange program, you will need to get your study plan academically approved and finalised.

Remember: Once you receive approval from your Course Director or the ES team, refer back to the email we sent and fill out the form to confirm you have finalised your study plan. Then email us a copy of your signed study plan. This is important!

*NOTE: Swinburne Online, Sponsored and Postgraduate students have different processes. Scroll down for instructions.

If you have listed ANY core units in your Exchange Study Plan OR you're a Swinburne Sarawak or Postgraduate student:

Provide the following documents to your Course Director for approval:
  • Your Swinburne Abroad Exchange Program offer letter (sent to you via email)
  • A copy of your Exchange Study Plan for your host university
  • A document outlining the details of your proposed units of study
  • Your course planner

NOTE: Do NOT ask your Course Director to find units that match for you (they do not have time for this). As the student, is it YOUR responsibility to do the research and ensure you find units that may align with your course.

Find your Course Director depending on your School and course:

NOTE (2): If you change your proposed units of study at your host university that have been matched to a core unit, you will need to get CD approval again for your new units.

If you have ONLY electives on your Exchange Study Plan:

Email askgeorge@swin.edu.au with 'CASFHAD Shelley Allsop- Exchange Query' in the subject line and the following documents for approval:
  • Your Swinburne Abroad Exchange Program offer letter (sent to you via email)
  • A copy of your Exchange Study Plan

This will allow your enquiry to be directed to the Enrolment Specialist looking after all things Exchange.

NOTE: If you change your proposed units of study at your host university and you have already received approval for your elective units from an ES, you don't need to get this approved again.

If you are a Swinburne Online or a Sponsored student:

Swinburne Online students - email help@swinburneonline.com with your documents for approval and assistance with course planning.

Sponsored students - contact your sponsor to seek preliminary approval that indicates they do not have any objections to you applying to go on a student exchange. Send this preliminary approval to exchange@swinburne.edu.au and sponsoredstudents@swinburne.edu.au.
